There are generally two types of degree programs and lastly, you need to get licensed.

Associate Degree Program: This is the quickest way to become a nurse which will take about two years to complete the course. Private technical schools and community colleges offer this associate degree program for nursing.

Bachelor’s Degree Program: Bachelor’s degree program is quite a long process of four years full-time study. Classes are almost same as the associate degree but additionally, humanities, psychology and nursing ethics are taught in a broader way.

Get Yourself Licensed: After graduating from any of the above programs, you still need to wait for getting the license for becoming a nurse. If you think you need some time to prepare yourself for the state licensing exam, then take a break otherwise face the exam as soon as possible.
